Sustainable stackable solutions for your terrace

New terrace in the garden or maybe a roof terrace?

Looking for a new terrace in the garden or perhaps a balcony or roof terrace? No matter if you choose to build with tiles or wooden planks, we will provide you with the best possible supporting solutions to your project with our PavePads. Our PavePad series elevates your terrace to the desired height and even provides an equal distance to your tiles with our  eco-friendly tile feet.

Many roof terraces have requirements about gratings in the paving. This, along with the use of granite, lava, or ceramic tiles with a difference of up to 5 mm in thickness, makes high demands on the paving pads: Each tile must be leveled individually. Our PavePads are particularly suitable for this task, because they are designed to handle four individual types of tile, at the same time. Each corner of the PavePad can be adjustet to fit the height of each individual tile. PavePads makes it possible to level your terrace floor, regardless of change of tiles, without having to do magic. We did it for you. Watch the video to see how easy it is to adjust the PavePads to equalize the level differences on your tiles.

A clever solution for your wooden terrace

PavePad is also the perfect choice when you make terraces with wood or composite. The sustainable PavePads are made of Polyethylene High Density – PEHD which is a strong and non-toxic type of plastic.

HDPE allows you to screw the batten directly into the tile base without special brackets or pre-drilling for the screw. Again, we’ve worked our magic for you by using the best raw material. See more under Technology, where you’ll find examples of decking on wood and composite joists.

The PavePad series is not difficult to work with and doesn’t require specialized tools. We have compiled a list of what you need. Under Installation you can find inspiration and guidance on how to construct your deck using our tile feet.

The benefits of working with PavePad

  • PavePads can withstand temperatures up to 100°C and down to -50°C.
  • Can be used with tiles, wood or composite decks.
  • Protects your roof and roof membrane against UV radiation from the sun and direct wear and tear.
  • Using PavePads enables you to make your deck 100% level, in spite of roof inclination or curbs.
  • Drains the deck surface of water and prevents algae growth on your tiles.
  • Say goodbye to weeds as no sand or gravel is used under your terrace.
  • An easy, simple, and environmentally friendly construction.
  • Creates a uniform result and is easy to work with.
  • Strong materials which can withstand loads up to 1,200 kg on each PavePad.

The sustainable, easy, and affordable choice

The PavePad range is made from non-toxic materials that are long-lasting and can be recycled into new products when replaced. Read here how we work with Materials and Circular Economy at PaveSystems. Working with PavePad is easy and requires no specialized equipment or knowledge. It’s also cheaper, as the many options to customize the tile base means you don’t need as many feet, saving you space under the pavement and money on tile feet!

Information about the different PavePads

PaveShim 1,5 mm

PavePad – height/thickness 1.5 mm
Diameter 180 mm
Max. load per PavePad 1,200 kg
Temperature range -50/100°C
Strap color YELLOW

A shim is used for fine-tuning. The shim can be cut or pulled apart by hands as needed, eg. in quarter, half, or three-quarter pieces. It can be inserted in the top, middle, or bottom layer.

A shim can compensate your substrate and uneven tiles. This solution is unique for PavePad

Note: Max. 3 shims per PavePad

PaveDamper 4,5 mm

PavePad – height/thickness 1.5-4.5 mm
Diameter 180 mm
Max. load per PavePad 1,200 kg
Temperature range -50/100°C
Strap color GREEN

PaveDampers are for tile use in case of uneven or crooked tiles. Noise-reducing. Absorbs footsteps, noises and reduces vibrations. For renovation and new construction. Ideal for tiles and natural stone.

Roof terrace solutions with PaveDamper are used to dampen the sound of the tiles.

This optional accessory means: 1 PaveDamper per stack as top layer

NB. The maximum load capacity of the PavePad exceeds most roofs maximum weight capacity and is not to be mistaken with this. Be sure to investigate the structural limits of the building prior to initiation.

PavePad 7,5 mm

PavePad – height/thickness 7.5 mm
Diameter 180 mm
Max. load per PavePad 1,200 kg
Temperature range -50/100°C
Strap color RED

PavePad 7.5 mm is used as adjustment and leveling – not as a starting layer.

The maximum load capacity of the PavePad exceeds most roofs maximum weight capacity and is not to be mistaken with this. Be sure to investigate the structural limits of the building prior to initiation.

PavePad 15 mm

PavePad – height/thickness 15 mm
Diameter 180 mm
Max. load per PavePad 1,200 kg
Temperature range -50/100°C
Strap color WHITE

PavePad 15 mm is used as the starting layer (minimum height). The 15 mm is to ensure space for dust and dirt to travel to drainage. The PavePad itself is constructed so that it is self-draining, ensuring no stale water remains.

The PavePad 15 is constructed with the unique ability to be turned towards another PavePad 15, 45, 90 mm in order to create a straight surface for placing beams. Based on a minimum of 30 mm it is possible to establish a wooden terrace that will not get into contact with water. Timber beams can be fixed directly to the PavePad with wood screws. When applying this technique further height can be achieved by stacking from both top and bottom layer with the other PavePad elements.

The maximum load capacity of the PavePad exceeds most roofs maximum weight capacity and is not to be mistaken with this. Be sure to investigate the structural limits of the building prior to initiation.

PavePad 45 mm

PavePad – height/thickness 45 mm
Diameter 180 mm
Max. load per PavePad 1,200 kg
Temperature range -50/100°C
Strap color BLUE

PavePad 45 mm is, like the 15mm, made to drain rainwater and can be divided into halves for sides and into quarters for corners of the terrace.

The maximum load capacity of the PavePad exceeds most roofs maximum weight capacity and is not to be mistaken with this. Be sure to investigate the structural limits of the building prior to initiation.

PavePad 90 mm

PavePad – height/thickness 90 mm
Diameter 180 mm
Max. load per PavePad 1,200 kg
Temperature range -50/100°C
Strap color BLACK

PavePad 90 mm is made to achieve height in a rapid workflow ensuring both tempo in the process and better economy as well. It is simple to use and you save money.

The maximum load capacity of the PavePad exceeds most roofs maximum weight capacity and is not to be mistaken with this. Be sure to investigate the structural limits of the building prior to initiation.
