The Regina building was built in 1921 at the address Soendergade 53, where Frichs was housed, until in 1919 the factory moved to Aabyhoej. Central to the building was the Regina Theater. In addition, the house housed hotel, restaurant, shops and offices.
Kaufmann was among the first store in the building in 1921 - and still present this day. When the cinema closed in 1983, the 19-store arcade was created through a remodel.

The building has been undergoing a rebuilt from the first floor and upwards. The commercial leases are converted into 27 luxury apartments with a beautiful courtyard environment on several levels, where the terraces are laid out with PavePad.
